My Dad! (and Movies too...)

 So before I continue with my FMT (Favorite Movie Tournament), and want to send a shout-out to my dad!

In a nutshell, my dad had a heart attack way back in February of '07. On Monday, April 21st, he completed the Boston Marathon! I'm incredibly proud of him, and he's very happy that he's been able to accomplish something that not a lot of people can. Way to go, Dad!! :)

Alright...back to the FMT.

In my last blog, I posted the conferences that all 238 films would be slotted into. Each of these conferences are grouped basically by genre. Most of the genres are fairly evident by both the name of the conference (Ray Harryhausen for fantasy, Laurence Olivier for drama, et al) and the films within it. From here, I've selected two films that IMO are the paragon of the conference...in other words, in the Henny Youngman League (for comedies), I've selected two films that are the epitome of comedy. I'll post these finalists below, then the next blog will be me comparing them against each other for the automatic bids. This is going to be much less in-depth than the actual tournament, but will finish with 24 films qualifying for the tourney.
